Onsite Speech Language Pathologist
Suffolk, VA

ProCare Therapy is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a school-based, contracted position near West Jericho, VA for the 26/27 school semester. This full-time position is perfect for dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists passionate about school-based care. You’ll have the chance to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team while serving a diverse pediatric population throughout the remainder of the school year.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Current SLP licensure (or eligibility) in the state
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status welcomed
- Experience with pediatric populations in school settings preferred
- Strong skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Ability to work effectively independently and with a team
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing students’ needs
- Deliver direct therapy services and consult with teachers and staff
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain thorough, timely documentation
- Provide support to families regarding therapy strategies and progress updates
- Collaborate to promote student success and engagement in the classroom
- Stay current on best practices and advancements in the field
