Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication and language growth in a dynamic educational environment near Winston-Salem, NC. This opening seeks four dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists to contribute to student success across the East and Southern parts of the district, working full time through the academic year from August 2026 to June 2027.

Qualifications:

  • NC SLP licensure required
  • ASHA CCC-SLP certification preferred, but Clinical Fellows (SLP-CF) are encouraged to apply (district supervision provided)
  • Strong background or interest in working with students on the autism spectrum and those with low cognitive disabilities is highly valued
  • Previous school-based SLP experience is an asset
  • Clear communication, strong organizational, and collaborative skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for a diverse caseload (up to 35 students, final caseload discussed at interview)
  • Develop and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs), focusing on personalized student goals
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support of students’ needs
  • Implement evidence-based therapy, monitor student progress, and document outcomes
  • Engage in IEP meetings and provide consultative support within school settings
