Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current NC SLP license required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship (SLP-CF) accepted
- Experience working with children in a school setting preferred
- Strong background or interest in working with students with autism (AU) and low cognitive disabilities highly valued
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- District supervision provided; however, supervisory roles for SLPA’s are not available in this position
What You’ll Do:
- Provide speech and language therapy to a varied caseload (up to 35 students) within the district’s schools, primarily in the east or southern regions
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with language, voice, and articulation disorders
- Collaborate closely with special education teams, teachers, and families to develop and implement effective IEPs
- Maintain accurate records, track student progress, and participate in ongoing eligibility meetings
- Adapt to caseload preferences and contribute to a positive school community
Position Details:
- Full-time contract, 35-37.5 hours weekly, beginning August 12, 2026, through June 11, 2027
