For this full-time position in a school environment, you will work closely with supportive staff and have the flexibility to customize your caseload preferences. The district is equipped to supervise SLP Clinical Fellows (SLP-CF), making it a fantastic environment for both seasoned SLPs and recent graduates. You’ll gain exposure to diverse caseloads in the East or Southern part of the district, and develop your expertise supporting students with autism (AU) and low cognitive disabilities—a rewarding way to expand your impact.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid NC state SLP license (or eligibility prior to start)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence required; SLP-CF applicants considered with district supervision
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Experience working with students with autism and low cognitive disabilities highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students with varied backgrounds
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized care plans
- Collaborate with educators, families, and administrators
- Maintain documentation and monitor student progress
