Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid North Carolina SLP license (CCC or Clinical Fellow; SLPA credentials not accepted at this time)
- Previous experience supporting students within school settings preferred
- Background working with children with autism spectrum disorder (AU) and low cognitive disabilities is valued
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities
- Passion for facilitating student growth and functional communication development
Responsibilities:
- Provide therapy and assessments to a diverse caseload (up to 35 students, full case details discussed during interviews)
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to design and implement effective therapy strategies
- Develop IEPs and maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with district and state standards
- Partner with families and school teams to support student progress
- Flexibility in caseload preference, ensuring the best fit for both therapist and student needs
Role Details:
- Full-time contract for the 2026-2027 academic year (August 12, 2026 — June 11, 2027)
- 35-37.5 hours per week, aligning with the standard school schedule
- Supportive district supervision provided for SLP Clinical Fellows
