School Speech Therapist | Salisbury, North Carolina
Looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your clinical skills in a supportive school setting? Full-time Speech-Language Pathologists are needed for contract positions in North Carolina. These roles are available for the 2026-27 academic year (August 12–June 11), with placements largely in the east and southern parts of the district. Openings are for four SLPs, and both SLP-CFs and experienced SLP-CCC professionals are encouraged to apply. (Please note: SLPAs are not being accepted at this time.)
Ideal candidates will hold current North Carolina licensure and bring passion for working with children. Caseloads are flexible, with a maximum of 35 students per clinician and caseload preferences considered during interviews. Clinical supervision is provided for SLP-CFs.
Qualifications:
- Current NC Speech-Language Pathologist license is required
- SLP-CCC or SLP-CF candidates considered (must be eligible for or hold CCCs)
- Experience or strong interest in working with students with autism spectrum disorder and low-incidence cognitive disabilities is preferred
- Familiarity with the school environment and IEP process
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language services to students according to IEPs
- Conduct evaluations and develop, implement, and monitor progress on IEP goals
- Consult regularly with educators, parents, and related service providers
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in team meetings regarding student progress and placement
