This full-time position begins August 12, 2026, and runs through June 11, 2027, offering 35-37.5 hours per week. The district values flexibility and is committed to matching your caseload preferences whenever possible, with a maximum of 35 students.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid North Carolina SLP license required
- SLP-CF candidates encouraged; supervision is provided. (SLPA candidates are not being considered.)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred but not required
- Previous experience supporting students with autism spectrum disorder (AU) and low cognitive disabilities is highly valued
- Familiarity with K-12 school settings and IEP documentation is a plus
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for assigned students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure student progress
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of student progress and services
- Attend pertinent meetings and participate in professional development activities
- Adapt approaches based on student needs and school resources
