Step into an engaging contract opportunity supporting students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic school district near Thomasville, North Carolina. Multiple full-time positions are available for the 2026–2027 academic year, with roles primarily serving campuses in the eastern and southern regions. You’ll work closely with students, faculty, and families to foster communication skills and make a daily impact.
Your expertise will be valued and your preferences considered—caseload details will be tailored during the interview. Whether you are an experienced therapist or a Clinical Fellow, supportive district supervision is available. Please note, only SLPs with NC licensure will be considered.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina SLP license (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or eligibility; SLP-CFs are welcome to apply
- Background working in K-12 school settings preferred
- Experience supporting students with autism (AU) and low cognitive disabilities desired
- Capability to manage caseloads of up to 35 students
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to fulfill varied student and district needs
- SLPA credentials unfortunately cannot be considered for this role
Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering comprehensive speech and language therapy services for students
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Consulting with teaching staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintaining accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation
- Participating in IEP meetings and student evaluations
In this role, enjoy a consistent Monday–Friday schedule of 35–37.5 hours per week. The district can offer flexibility regarding your specific caseload preferences to best match your expertise and interests.
