Required Skills & Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
- Previous experience or strong interest working in a high school setting
- Understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance with state/federal regulations
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet a variety of student communication needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings and comprehensive assessments for students referred for speech/language concerns
- Develop and implement effective therapy plans tailored to individual student goals and documented in IEPs
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate speech and language strategies into the school environment
- Document student progress and maintain accurate, compliant records
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, providing recommendations and progress reports as needed
- Foster a supportive, positive environment that enables each student to achieve their highest potential
