Step into a rewarding role supporting students with significant communication and developmental needs in an educational setting committed to inclusive, functional goals. This contract opportunity runs from your earliest availability through June 11, 2027 (with the possibility of extension if makeup days are required), spanning the academic year Monday through Friday, for 35 hours each week.

This position serves a diverse caseload of 25 to 40 students, ranging in age from 3 to 21 years old. The majority of students have visual, cognitive, medical, and orthopedic challenges, and most are non-verbal. Your expertise in setting up and integrating communication systems—such as AAC devices, eye gaze technology, tactile/picture communication tools, and other low-tech solutions—will be key to fostering independence and functional communication throughout the school day. Direct, consultative, and group services are provided in regular and adaptive classrooms, with strong collaboration alongside an interdisciplinary team.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current CCC-SLP or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CFY)
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility in Pennsylvania
  • Experience designing and facilitating AAC communication systems strongly preferred
  • Comfort working with students presenting a wide range of abilities, including significant physical and cognitive disabilities
  • Commitment to collaborative, student-centered problem solving

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and group speech-language therapy services
  • Develop, implement, and adjust communication systems within students’ daily routines
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff
  • Collect data and maintain documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
  • Contribute to the development of functional, meaningful IEP goals
