School Speech Language Pathologist - Webster, New York

Make a meaningful difference as a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist serving students with developmental disabilities and autism. This contract position offers you the chance to work closely with a dedicated team for the full school year—including a 6-week Extended School Year (ESY) session—helping students ages 7 to 21 reach their communication goals.
Key qualifications and credentials:
- Current SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience in school-based settings preferred
- Knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems
- Previous work with students exhibiting a range of autism spectrum needs, including nonverbal communication and behavioral challenges
- Comfort working with students who have intellectual disabilities (IQs below 70)
- Willingness to collaborate with a multidisciplinary classroom staff (6:1:3 ratio)
Your role will include:
- Managing a targeted caseload of students with varying communication and behavioral profiles
- Conducting assessments and developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Providing direct therapy and support using AAC and other strategies tailored to individual needs
- Supporting both residential and day students in one central location
- Collaborating closely with teachers, classroom aides, and other related service professionals to integrate therapy goals into daily activities
