School Speech Language Pathologist - Penfield, NY

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP certification and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Prior school-based experience, especially with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Provide direct therapy services, adapting strategies to engage students with diverse abilities
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and allied health professionals to support student growth
- Participate in IEP meetings, document progress, and maintain accurate records
- Advocate for students’ needs and contribute to ongoing staff training and development
