Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license in NY, or eligibility to obtain before start
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Experience or strong interest in schools, particularly within developmental disabilities and autism population
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and deliver individualized therapy plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with school and nonprofit policies
- Provide consultation and support to teachers, families, and caregivers
- Participate in IEP meetings and advocate for student needs
- Adapt therapy methods to meet each student’s unique strengths and challenges
