Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Illinois SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility
- Previous experience (internship or professional) working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities with students, faculty, and families
- Familiarity with IEP process and special education documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide intervention for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific student needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student success
- Complete necessary documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings to help tailor educational goals and strategies
- Adapt therapy techniques to be engaging and age-appropriate
