With a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week and an assignment running through late May 2027, you'll have the chance to make a lasting difference in students’ communication skills and educational journeys.
Your expertise will be vital as you manage a caseload of approximately 40 students, with the possibility for growth throughout the assignment. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to create individualized treatment plans and maximize student outcomes. Medicaid billing experience is preferred, as accurate and timely billing is a key component of this position.
Qualifications we value:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required
- Valid state licensure for New Mexico, or eligibility to obtain before start date
- Experience working in secondary school settings (middle/high school)
- Medicaid billing experience is preferred
- Flexible and adaptable to manage both in-person and virtual service delivery
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
Your primary responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to secondary students
- Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Accurately complete Medicaid billing and documentation
- Consult with teachers, parents, and school teams
- Deliver services both onsite and via teletherapy as needed
