Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current California SLP license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred
- Previous experience in a school environment is highly desirable
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and educational staff
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, diagnose communication and speech disorders, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Provide direct intervention services, both individual and group, to address a variety of speech and language challenges
- Collaborate closely with teachers, aides, and other educational professionals to support student goals and ensure effective service delivery
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
- Guide and educate families and guardians regarding student progress, needs, and follow-up activities
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development as needed
