Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
- Valid SLP-CCC credential (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- California state licensure (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Previous experience in a school setting, especially with elementary-aged students, is highly valued
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with teachers, families, and students
- Comfortable working full-time hours (35 hours per week) on-site
- Strong organizational skills and a flexible attitude
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to elementary students at a single campus
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders
- Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and other service providers
- Maintain accurate records, data collection, and progress reports in compliance with school and state requirements
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, contributing insights for each student’s development
- Offer guidance and resources to classroom teachers and families to support student success
