Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for CFY supervision
- State Speech-Language Pathologist license (or SLPA license for assistants)
- Experience in school-based or healthcare settings highly valued
- Proficiency with virtual therapy platforms for teletherapy roles preferred
- Passion for fostering language, articulation, and social communication skills in children of diverse backgrounds
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and communication challenges in students
- Develop individualized treatment plans and implement evidence-based therapy interventions
- Provide direct speech-language services, both in-person and/or remotely
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support academic and social success
- Maintain accurate records, write progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings
- Offer guidance, education, and support to teaching staff and caregivers
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
