Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Toledo, OH

Make a meaningful impact supporting K-7 students in a self-contained classroom, providing communication and language services for learners in a welcoming educational setting near Toledo, OH. This contract opportunity offers 30 hours per week, allowing you to engage with a diverse range of students while maintaining work-life balance. There’s ample opportunity to collaborate with a team that believes in professional growth and mentorship—an ideal setting for those with their CCC as well as Clinical Fellows (CFY). Supervision will be provided by an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist on staff.
Your skills with AAC devices will be especially appreciated, as there is a preference for applicants experienced with augmentative and alternative communication technologies. You’ll be central to supporting students with a variety of communication needs, using your creativity, expertise, and compassion.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Ohio SLP license, or eligibility to obtain before starting
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or CFY candidates welcome
- Experience with pediatric and school populations preferred
- Familiarity with AAC devices strongly desired
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and address students' speech, language, and communication needs in a self-contained K-7 classroom
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student progress
- Document student performance and maintain up-to-date records
- Support the inclusion and use of AAC devices for students as needed
