Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Sylvania, OH

Take your speech-language pathology expertise to a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-7 students in a self-contained classroom environment. This position offers 30 hours per week in a dynamic school setting serving students with diverse communication needs. The team welcomes SLPs with pediatric experience as well as those who are completing their Clinical Fellowship Year; onsite supervision and peer support will be provided.
Ideal candidates are passionate about helping young learners reach their communication goals and bring a collaborative spirit to their work. Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices is highly valued, as you’ll have the chance to directly impact students utilizing these tools.
What you’ll bring:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
- CCC-SLP certification, or actively completing CFY under supervision
- Experience supporting pediatric populations, preferably in a school or educational setting
- Knowledge of AAC devices and their implementation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative approach to working with educators, families, and support staff
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy to students in K-7, focusing on each child’s IEP goals
- Evaluate, develop, and implement effective treatment plans
- Provide ongoing progress monitoring and documentation
- Work closely with teachers to support integration of speech strategies in the classroom
- Assist with AAC device training, programming, and troubleshooting
- Communicate regularly with families and multi-disciplinary teams
