Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active SLP license (California) and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred, but strong clinical background considered.
- Familiarity with IEP process and providing services for diverse student populations.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized speech and language intervention plans for students.
- Implement therapy sessions to target articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to integrate therapy goals with academic programs.
- Support and monitor progress toward IEP goals, maintaining detailed and compliant records.
- Participate in IEP meetings, provide professional recommendations, and contribute to multidisciplinary teams.
- Stay current on best practices, documentation requirements, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
