Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting preschool-aged children’s communication development in a vibrant school community near Thousand Oaks, CA. This full-time, contract-based position serves young learners, ages 3-5, across multiple school sites with an immediate start date and assignment lasting through June 17, 2026.
You will join a collaborative atmosphere with another SLP on-site for daily support and mentorship. With a caseload of up to 50 children, you can look forward to making a meaningful difference through both individual and group sessions. The school also values interdisciplinary teamwork, and there is a parallel need for Occupational Therapy services, offering opportunities for collaboration.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but strong CFY candidates will be considered
- Eligibility for or possession of California SLP licensure is required
- Experience or strong interest in preschool, early childhood, or school-based settings
- Teletherapy background is a plus, as is experience as an SLPA in schools or healthcare
- Excellent teamwork, organization, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to preschool students at multiple school sites
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and maintain student documentation
- Collaborate closely with educational staff, families, and fellow therapists
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Adapt therapy approaches for both in-person and virtual environments as needed
