Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Thousand Oaks, California
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting preschoolers as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a bustling school setting. This contracted, full-time role runs through June 17, 2026, serving children ages 3-5 across multiple school locations. You'll manage a caseload of up to 50 eager learners, providing a vibrant variety to your days. With another SLP on site, collaboration and shared insight are always available, ensuring a supportive and engaging environment.
The school community is dedicated to fostering growth for its youngest students, and you’ll play a vital role in early intervention, working with children in inclusive and supportive classrooms. The position also offers the chance to collaborate with occupational therapists, broadening your multidisciplinary experience.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid California SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- CCC or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
- Recent experience in pediatric, school-based settings highly preferred
- Teletherapy skills a plus
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload, focusing on preschool-aged children
- SLPA supervision experience is an advantage
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services to preschoolers with diverse communication needs
- Conduct assessments, write reports, and develop IEPs
- Work collaboratively with staff, families, and other therapists (including OT)
- Provide group and individual therapy sessions
- Support and supervise SLPAs as needed
- Adapt to working across multiple sites and with various team members
This position includes full-time hours and a spring break from March 30 to April 10, 2026, giving you time to recharge mid-assignment. Google Meet interviews are being scheduled for next week, so be ready to connect with school leaders and showcase your expertise.
