School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Camarillo, California
Step into an exciting opportunity supporting preschool students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. This full-time contract role runs through June 17, 2026, and focuses on providing essential speech and language services across multiple school sites, serving a caseload of up to 50 children ages 3-5. You'll collaborate with another SLP at the school site, ensuring shared expertise and support in a positive, teamwork-oriented environment.
Your skills will play a crucial role in helping young learners develop the communication abilities needed for lifelong success. The district also has occupational therapy needs, offering further opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid California SLP, SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or SLPA credential
- Background in school or healthcare settings supporting children ages 3-5
- Passion for working with preschoolers in diverse educational environments
- Experience or interest in delivering teletherapy preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload of up to 50 children, collaborating with fellow SLPs and educational staff
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy to preschool students with diverse speech/language needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and other specialists, including occupational therapists
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation
- Provide services across multiple campuses as needed
- Contribute to team meetings and share expertise with colleagues
