Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Thousand Oaks, California
Take the next step in your career by working with preschool-aged students in a vibrant educational setting near Thousand Oaks, CA! We are seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time contract assignment serving children ages 3-5 across multiple school sites. This role begins as soon as possible and will continue through June 17, 2026.
You’ll join a collaborative environment with another SLP on-site for support, handling a caseload of up to 50 young learners. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in early childhood development, working with diverse needs that include both speech and occupational therapy support. Qualifications:
- Hold a valid California SLP, SLP-CCC, or SLP-CFY license; SLPA credentialed candidates also encouraged to apply
- Experience in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare SLP settings preferred
- Comfortable collaborating with educational teams across multiple locations
- Skilled in assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring for preschool-aged children
- Familiar with teletherapy tools or open to hybrid/remote service delivery as needed
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language services to students ages 3-5
- Manage evaluations, IEPs, documentation, and meetings in alignment with district standards
- Collaborate with teachers, OTs, families, and other school professionals
- Support occupational therapy needs as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Adapt to a dynamic caseload across different school sites
Spring break is scheduled for March 30–April 10, 2026, offering some well-deserved time off.
