Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist working onsite within a dynamic school setting. Play a vital role in supporting students’ communication and language development through evidence-based interventions and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. This position offers a consistent schedule of 36.25 hours per week and involves managing a caseload of approximately 50-55 students, with adjustments based on site needs.
Ideal Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid SLP California state license and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certification
- Current CTC (Commission on Teacher Credentialing) clearance
- Experience working with pediatric populations in a school-based or clinical setting
- Ability to provide skilled services to students ranging from those with mild to complex communication needs
- Proficiency with conducting assessments, writing reports, and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Open to SLP-CCC and Clinical Fellow (CFY) candidates
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, onsite speech and language therapy to students
- Conduct and interpret assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop goals and treatment plans tailored to individual student needs
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals
- Attend multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to IEP development and implementation
- Foster a positive, supportive learning environment for student growth
