Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Thousand Oaks, California
Step into a rewarding opportunity to support preschool-aged learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in California. This full-time, contract assignment runs from as soon as you’re available through June 17, 2026, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact in early childhood education across multiple school sites. You will primarily serve children ages 3-5, with a manageable caseload of up to 50 students and the added benefit of another SLP on-site for collaboration.
Those with backgrounds in SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, teletherapy, pediatric healthcare, and school-based settings will find their experience seamlessly translates to success in this setting. Assistant-level professionals (SLPAs) are also encouraged to apply, especially those with healthcare or school experience. Be part of a team dedicated to fostering communication growth in young children and supporting overall developmental needs—OT needs are present at the site as well, for an integrated approach.
Key Qualifications and Preferred Experience: • Current or eligible California SLP or SLPA licensure • Experience with preschool populations or pediatric caseloads • Familiarity with school or teletherapy settings is highly valued • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills • Ability to work full-time for the duration of the contract
Responsibilities: • Conduct evaluations, deliver speech-language therapy, and develop individualized plans • Manage a caseload of up to 50 students, ages 3-5, across several locations • Collaborate and consult with fellow SLPs, OTs, staff, and families • Document progress, maintain compliance, and contribute to positive student outcomes
This position offers the unique experience of working alongside another SLP, professional support, and the added bonus of a spring break vacation from March 30-April 10, 2026.
