🚀 Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K–12 students across a school-based setting in Indiana for the 2026–2027 school year. The SLP will provide evaluation, treatment, and consultation services to support students with a wide range of communication needs while collaborating closely with educators and multidisciplinary teams.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Conduct speech-language screenings, evaluations, and assessments
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and team collaboration
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance records
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student communication needs
- Support students using AAC and other communication systems as needed
- Ensure compliance with IDEA and Indiana Department of Education requirements
📌 Indiana State Requirements
Candidates must meet Indiana requirements for school-based SLPs, including:
- 🎓 Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- 🪪 Active Indiana Speech-Language Pathology License issued by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA) — required to practice in all Indiana settings, including schools
- 🪪 Active Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) School Services License (Communication Disorder / SLP endorsement for P–12) required for school-based employment
- 📚 Completion of required state training modules (e.g., child safety, mandated reporting, and other IDOE-required trainings prior to or during onboarding)
- 🔍 Completion of fingerprinting/background clearance for school placement
- 🧠 Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education procedures

- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Experience working with K–12 caseloads
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with AAC systems and assistive technology
- Organized, proactive, and student-centered approach
