Exciting opportunity for a contract Speech-Language Pathologist to make a lasting impact in a supportive elementary school environment. This onsite role covers a manageable caseload of approximately 40 students from early September through mid-February. You'll collaborate closely with educators and specialists to deliver high-quality services, especially in supporting the school's behavior program.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid Washington SLP license (or commitment to obtain prior to start)
- Must hold or be willing to secure Washington ESA certification
- Completion of OSPI fingerprinting required
- Prior experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Comfort working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and provide direct speech and language therapy to a diverse student population
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Manage a caseload of approximately 40 students with varied needs (no AAC users or medically complex students at this time)
- Document progress and maintain detailed, compliant records
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
- Offer expertise and support for the school’s specialized behavior program
- Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions
