Step into a rewarding contract position, serving as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant elementary school community near Federal Way, WA. This on-site role is ideal for a dedicated professional eager to make a difference during a temporary assignment from September 2, 2026, through February 15, 2027.
Here, you will manage a caseload of approximately 40 students, providing evaluation and treatment services while collaborating closely with the school’s behavior program team. While students with AAC or medically complex needs are not currently on your caseload, your work will have meaningful impact supporting a diverse population in a structured, supportive setting.
What you’ll bring:
- Active Washington SLP licensure and OSPI fingerprinting, or willingness to complete these before the start date
- Washington ESA certification in hand or in progress
- Completion of SLP-CCC requirements
- Prior experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence managing a caseload and providing targeted interventions in collaboration with teachers and staff
- Flexibility, commitment, and a problem-solving mindset
Your role will include:
- Delivering direct speech-language therapy services to assigned students
- Conducting assessments and maintaining thorough documentation
- Participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with special education teams
- Supporting the behavioral program as needed with specific supports for speech and language needs
- Communicating regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure the best possible outcomes
This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $90–$100 per hour for 32.5 on-site hours each week.
