Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Tacoma, WA

Highlights of the role:
- 0.5 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE), ideal for work-life balance
- Provide direct services to approximately 30 students
- Oversee all aspects of speech-language evaluations
- Write individual education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Supervise and support a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to promote student growth
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- School-based SLP experience preferred
- Strong skills in assessment, IEP development, and communication
- Experience or interest in mentoring an SLPA
- Excellent organizational abilities and a collaborative attitude
Primary responsibilities:
- Manage a student caseload efficiently, ensuring individualized attention
- Complete comprehensive speech and language evaluations
- Develop and maintain up-to-date IEPs in compliance with regulations
- Support the growth and development of the SLPA through guidance and supervision
- Communicate progress and strategies effectively to families and school teams
