Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
- Washington state licensure (or eligibility)
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings, with knowledge of IEPs and special education law preferred
- Teletherapy experience a plus; comfort with technology and remote assessment tools
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, adept at working with children, staff, and families
- Commitment to cultural competence and inclusive practices
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy for students with speech and language challenges
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering expertise and recommendations for student support
- Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities
- Document progress, maintain records, and communicate regularly with caregivers
- Provide both onsite and potential teletherapy services as needed
- Serve as a professional resource to school staff on communication disorders and strategies
