Desired Background and Qualifications:
- Current and active Speech Language Pathologist license for New York State
- NY Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) Certification
- Experience with pediatric and school-age populations in educational settings
- Hold or eligible for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Adept at designing therapy plans, setting measurable goals, and engaging students of varying communication abilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with families, teachers, and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy individually and in small groups
- Assess and document student progress, adapting interventions as needed
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) focused on communication goals
- Consult with educators, staff, and families to promote inclusive practices and socially meaningful outcomes
- Manage flexible caseloads and travel to multiple sites as assigned
