Elementary Pre-School Speech Language Pathologist in Richlands, NC

Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Hold or be eligible for North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists (NCBOESLPA) licensure
- Considerable knowledge of childhood speech and hearing development, as well as a strong understanding of communication disorders and treatment methods
- Comfortable navigating federal, state, and local regulations affecting school-based speech-language services
- Proven ability to develop and maintain comprehensive student records
- Excellent skills in coordinating services and building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide assessments, interventions, and follow-up for students identified with speech, language, or hearing needs
- Screen and evaluate students using both formal and informal measures
- Develop individualized intervention plans, monitor student progress, and adjust strategies accordingly
- Serve as a resource and consultant to parents, teachers, and school staff regarding communication needs
- Maintain detailed records and prepare program reports as required
- Travel between assigned school sites as needed

- Capable of lifting and facilitating safe student movement if necessary
