Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Hold or be eligible for licensure from the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists (NCBOESLPA)
- Strong background in child speech and hearing development, pediatric disorders, and evidence-based interventions
- Ability to develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with students, families, educators, and community professionals
- Working knowledge of laws affecting speech-language services in schools
- Willingness to work onsite and travel between school sites as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and diagnostics to identify speech, language, and hearing needs
- Design, implement, and adjust intervention strategies based on student performance and progress
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required by the program
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to coordinate services and integrate strategies within the classroom environment
- Monitor, supervise, and support student performance and participation
- Contribute to safe, inclusive learning environments, including participating in emergency procedures and school safety drills
