Elementary Pre-School School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Hubert, North Carolina
A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve Pre-K and elementary students for the 26/27 school year. Essential Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Eligible for or holds a North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists license
- Strong background in childhood speech and language development
- Understanding of communication disorders and evidence-based interventions
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal laws impacting school-based speech-language services
- Collaborative approach to consulting with educators, families, and community agencies
- Ability to maintain thorough student records and program documentation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings and assess speech, language, and hearing skills
- Interpret assessment data and recommend appropriate SLP services
- Develop and deliver targeted interventions for individuals and groups
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate program records and generate required reports
- Provide consultative support to teachers, parents, and staff
- Promote positive, collaborative relationships within the school community
- Support program development in accordance with current practices and regulations
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 15 lbs (30 lbs occasionally)
- Capable of evacuating students during emergency drills
- Able to drive between multiple school sites as needed
