As an SLP, you’ll support students across grades 6-8 and 10-12, with preferences considered when assigning caseloads. Assignments are thoughtfully determined with your ZIP code in mind. The caseload ranges from 50 to 60 students, and the district appreciates SLPs ready to perform the full scope of duties, including direct therapy, ARD meetings, and assessments. For candidates preferring a supervisory role, there is flexibility for a focus on supervision alone.
Key qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Texas SLP license and Florida SLP license required
- Able to provide a copy of current licenses
- Open to clinical fellows (CFYs) seeking to complete their fellowship
- Fingerprinting is required; those with prints on file may already meet this requirement
- Comfortable working in a middle or high school setting
- Adaptable to a full-time schedule (37.5 hours/week)
Primary responsibilities:
- Deliver therapy services to a diverse adolescent population
- Conduct assessments and participate in ARD meetings
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to maximize student outcomes
- Offer supervision as needed, if preferred
