Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students in the Houston area as a dedicated SLP for the upcoming academic year. Work on-site at middle or high school campuses, providing essential speech-language services to help students reach their fullest potential. This full-time opportunity (37.5 hours per week) runs from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027, and offers the flexibility for you to express your preference for working with grades 6–8 or 10–12. The number of campuses assigned will thoughtfully consider your home ZIP code for an optimal commute.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Active Texas SLP licensure (presentable image required)
  • Fingerprint clearance required prior to start (existing prints may be valid)
  • Experience providing SLP services in a school setting preferred
  • Ability to manage a caseload of 50–60 students
  • Capable of performing the full scope of school-based SLP duties, including therapy delivery, assessments, ARD participation, and documentation

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy for students in assigned grades
  • Conduct required evaluations and participate in ARD meetings
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress tracking
  • Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other support professionals
  • Travel between local campuses (as assigned) within the southwest Houston area
