Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Current and active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Virginia (VA SLP License)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
- Previous experience as a school-based SLP, delivering assessments and direct therapy to children and adolescents
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated commitment to working onsite and collaborating effectively as part of a multidisciplinary education team
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students in adherence to IEP requirements and district protocols
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans targeting communication and language skills
- Deliver direct therapy services onsite within the school community
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and specialists to foster student progress and advocate for optimal learning environments
- Maintain thorough documentation and contribute actively to IEP meetings
