Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Virginia SLP License required
- Clinical Certificate of Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience providing speech/language services in school settings highly valued
- Strong skills in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and adaptability
- Comfort with IEP processes and collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
Role and Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and therapy for students with speech/language needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and measurable goals
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to support student progress and participation
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, progress reviews, and professional staffings
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with legal and district requirements
- Engage with colleagues and participate in multidisciplinary team efforts to create an inclusive learning environment
