School year dates: August 11, 2026 – May 27, 2027
Onsite position in Hitchcock, TX
Caseload and grade level discussed during the interview
Supervision provided by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
Supportive district with a collaborative special education team
Primary Responsibilities
Provide direct speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
Implement therapy activities and student IEP goals
Collect therapy data and document student progress
Assist with therapy planning, classroom carryover, and preparation of treatment materials
Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members to support student success
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field
Active Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license or eligibility for licensure
Ability to provide onsite services in a school setting
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Previous pediatric or school-based experience is preferred, but not required
Candidates transitioning from outpatient, pediatric clinic, or rehabilitation settings are encouraged to apply
