Speech Language Pathologist in Stillwater, MN
Step into an impactful role supporting students’ communication development as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for a dynamic K-8 special education program. Based in White Bear Township, MN, this full-time assignment spans 37.5 hours per week from September 8 to October 20, 2026. The caseload centers around a Setting 4 special education environment with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD), and Emotional/Behavioral Disorders (EBD). Notably, this role does not involve case management responsibilities, allowing you to focus exclusively on therapeutic interventions.
Ideal candidates bring passion and expertise in school-based speech therapy and possess or are eligible for a Minnesota Department of Education SLP license. Whether you are a Clinical Fellow (CFY) or hold your CCCs, your specialized skills will be valued and supported in this collaborative educational environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Minnesota Department of Education SLP license (or eligibility)
- Accepted backgrounds: SLP-CCC, Clinical Fellow (CFY), or relevant school-based SLP experience
- Experience with K-8 populations, especially within special education settings
- Familiarity and comfort working with ASD, DCD, and EBD students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group speech/language therapy tailored to diverse student needs
- Assess, develop, and implement treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation, comply with school and state guidelines
- Engage students using creative and interactive therapy approaches
