Make an impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a welcoming K-8 setting, supporting a specialized education program for students with diverse needs. This engaging contract opportunity runs from September 8, 2026, through October 20, 2026, and offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
You'll work within a Setting 4 special education program serving students in grades K-8, many of whom have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD), and Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD). The caseload does not include case management, allowing you to focus your expertise directly on providing high-quality speech-language services.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota Department of Education SLP license (required)
- Open to those with SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY credentials
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-8th grade students
- Familiarity with supporting students with ASD, DCD, and EBD strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students in individual and group settings
- Conduct assessments and contribute to the development of educational plans for students with communication needs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support students' academic and social-emotional growth
- Document therapy sessions and progress notes in accordance with school policies
