In this position, you will work with a middle school caseload comprised entirely of students who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices. Your expertise will be vital in helping these students achieve their individual communication goals.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders required
- Eligibility or current MN Department of Education SLP license
- CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) candidates accepted
- Experience or interest in working with AAC devices strongly preferred
- Passion for supporting students with complex communication needs
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary staff, families, and support teams
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Commitment to culturally responsive, empathetic service delivery
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services to a high-needs, AAC-dependent caseload
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families
- Monitor progress and adapt interventions to maximize student growth
- Maintain accurate records and meet compliance requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and team planning
