School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Sterling, Illinois

What Success Looks Like:
- Hold a valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Prior experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations is preferred
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to dynamic caseloads and support a multidisciplinary team
- Comfortable with a flexible, evolving assignment that may include some coverage and assistance for another SLP mid-semester
Role Highlights:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language services to elementary-age students
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to create student-centered intervention plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for each student per school guidelines
- Support smooth transitions and continuity of care, including assisting a returning SLP as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Engage in a welcoming school environment known for collaboration and support
This assignment runs from February through the end of May, with your site designated as an elementary school and a single school assignment. The caseload and detailed age groups will be determined upon placement, but you can expect a meaningful impact during this spring semester engagement.
