School Speech Language Pathologist - Rock Falls, Illinois
Step into an impactful role supporting students' growth and communication skills while working onsite in a vibrant school setting near Rock Falls, IL. This contract opportunity is designed for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist ready to contribute for the remainder of the school year, from February until the end of May. You’ll enjoy a consistent schedule of 32.5 hours per week, working closely with students and collaborating with fellow professionals on campus. The caseload will be determined, with the added opportunity to assist the returning SLP later in the first semester, fostering teamwork and continuity of care.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Illinois SLP License required (must remain active and in good standing)
- Familiarity with school-based therapy settings preferred
- Flexible, collaborative, and able to adapt to the needs of diverse student populations
- Additional state or district-specific certifications as required
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to positive student outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy services and support to students
- Conduct thorough evaluations, develop and implement IEPs, and document progress
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and the school’s SLP team to maximize student success
- Serve as a resource for classroom accommodations and strategies related to speech and language development
- Assist the returning SLP, supporting continuity of services during the transition
