You will work with a caseload of approximately 40 students, supporting a varied and rewarding group of learners. Your role is pivotal in fostering communication skills and boosting students’ confidence and success.
Desired Background & Credentials:
- Valid Michigan SLP license (non-negotiable requirement)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in school settings
- Proficiency supporting a diverse caseload of school-aged children
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and educational teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for students with communication disorders
- Deliver targeted direct and consultative therapy in accordance with IEP goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Communicate progress and strategies to teachers, families, and administrators
- Create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere to empower each student
