This assignment runs from June 1, 2026, through Thanksgiving 2026. The summer schedule provides flexibility (5-10 hours/week), transitioning to a full school schedule (32.5 hours/week) in the academic year. This is an outstanding chance to build your resume by working with an array of students from early intervention to elementary ages, within diverse school environments and settings. Working across three schools—each within two miles of each other—plus providing some in-home therapy, you’ll gain exposure to a variety of leadership approaches, workplace styles, and therapeutic modalities, fueling your professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Michigan School Speech and Language Pathologist Certification (required)
- Experience or passion for working with early intervention and PreK–elementary population
- Ability to travel between 3 school sites and provide in-home therapy (all local)
- Commitment to a flexible summer and full school year schedule
Responsibilities:
- Deliver year-long early intervention SLP services
- Support students at Clawson Early Childhood Center, Japhet, Guardian Angels, plus two non-public sites
- Conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide therapy in both school and home settings
- Maintain accurate records and communicate progress to families and staff
