Step into a dynamic role as a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals experienced with school-based SLP positions, including those with Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status. You’ll work 2–3 days each week at an Intermediate Center near Steger, IL, collaborating with a supportive team to help students achieve critical communication milestones.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Communicative Disorders or a related field
- Active Illinois licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois is mandatory
- Previous experience in educational or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Open to SLPs in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Ability to design and implement effective IEPs and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders for students at the Intermediate Center
- Develop individualized intervention programs to meet each student’s unique needs
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to promote positive student outcomes
- Document progress and maintain timely records in accordance with school policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the educational planning process
- Provide guidance and support to students, families, and school personnel on communication strategies
