Desired Qualifications:
- Current, active Speech-Language Pathologist license for Virginia
- Experience in school-based SLP roles preferred
- Ability to support communication and language development in diverse student populations
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to full-time, on-site presence throughout the contract—remote, hybrid, or teletherapy options are not available
- Must initiate the Virginia Department of Social Services background check process as soon as possible and provide a current TB test prior to starting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders for students assigned
- Develop and implement effective, individualized treatment plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators, administrators, and families
- Maintain required documentation and adhere to case management guidelines
- Deliver direct therapy and consultative support, adjusting interventions for age and developmental differences
- Engage in school-wide initiatives supporting student success
