School Speech Pathology | Stafford, Virginia
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across a vibrant school system near the Washington DC area (just 45 minutes south of DC). This full-time position (37.5 hours/week) begins August 3, 2026, and continues through May 27, 2027. You'll be working on-site, providing direct, impactful speech-language therapy services for students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Assignments will be determined based on need, offering you experience with a diverse age range and caseload.
Requirements:
- Active Virginia SLP (Speech-Language Pathologist) license
- Recent experience or strong interest in school-based SLP services
- Familiarity with IEP processes and collaborating in school settings
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to start the VA Department of Social Services background check immediately upon offer
- Willingness to complete a Virginia TB test per state requirements
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students
- Create, implement, and document individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to support student success
- Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP conferences, and related school activities
- Maintain accurate records and comply with district and state documentation requirements
- Serve students across multiple campuses as assigned
