Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Virginia SLP license required
- Experience in school-based SLP settings preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Able to provide services on-site (remote/hybrid not available)
- Ability to initiate VA Department of Social Services background check promptly
- Must complete a TB test as part of credentialing process
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to diverse student populations
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop personalized treatment plans
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multi-disciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports according to district and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to overall student success
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet individual needs and school schedules
- Travel between assigned schools within the district as needed
