Qualifications and Experience:
- Current, active Virginia SLP licensure is required
- Experience with school-based SLP services preferred
- Flexibility to work with various age groups and caseloads, as assignments are available throughout K-12 settings
- Immediate ability to initiate the Virginia Department of Social Services background check process
- Ability to provide recent TB test results in compliance with state requirements
- Strong communication, organization, and collaborative skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech/language therapy to students based on IEP goals
- Complete evaluations and document progress to support student development
- Work closely with teachers, families, and school staff to support integrated education plans
- Manage caseloads, coordinate schedules, and ensure compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise as part of the educational team
