This full-time, contract opportunity is based close to beautiful Spruce Pine, NC, at a welcoming elementary school environment. Your expertise will be instrumental in assessing, diagnosing, and providing targeted speech and language therapy for a diverse group of approximately 43 students. Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Direct experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations
- Strong preference for candidates holding an active North Carolina SLP license
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and collaboration abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy tailored to each student's unique needs
- Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP meetings as a speech-language expert
- Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress
- Communicate regularly with teachers and families to support student engagement and growth
