Speech Language Pathologist in Springfield, OR
A rewarding contract opportunity awaits for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist eager to make a meaningful impact in educational settings. Support students across two high schools and one elementary school, working closely with those enrolled in life skills programming. The assignment runs from September 8, 2026, through June 17, 2027, offering a full-time 40-hour workweek.
Split your time between two dynamic environments: at the Westmoreland campus, focus on specialized education; at Lane schools, help students foster important social connections. The anticipated caseload is approximately 33 students, each presenting unique challenges and opportunities for growth.
Preferred, though not required, is experience with feeding and swallowing safety and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)—however, training will be provided for motivated candidates. You’ll have access to robust support, including monthly and virtual check-ins with the SLP team, as well as daily in-person collaboration with special education, paraeducators, and additional assistants. While you’ll manage your own caseload, you’ll never feel alone, backed by the resources of a well-established team committed to student success.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Eligibility for state licensure as required
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical rotations considered
- Comfort with or interest in supporting life skills programming, feeding and swallowing, and AAC
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language services to assigned students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate actively with educators, families, and support staff
- Contribute to a supportive, inclusive school environment
- Participate in team meetings and professional development
