Your week will be divided between two campuses with distinct student needs—one focused on special education, the other supporting socialization skills. You’ll contribute your specialized knowledge to facilitate students’ communication, independence, and safe eating, ideally bringing experience or openness to training in feeding, swallowing, and AAC strategies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Current and valid Speech-Language Pathology license/certification (CCC required)
- Background in a school-based SLP role is preferred
- Experience with AAC and feeding/swallowing (safe eating) is a plus, but not required—training available
- Comfortable working independently but eager to collaborate with a wider SLP group
- Commitment to a full-time (40 hours/week), on-site schedule
- Passion for life skills programming and empowering students
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language support across two high schools and one elementary school
- Independently manage a caseload of about 33 students
- Work half your week at each campus, adjusting to the unique social and educational needs of each group
- Collaborate virtually and during monthly meetings with a team of 12 SLPs
- Partner with SPED teachers, paraprofessionals, and classroom assistants for comprehensive student care
- Engage with life skills, socializing activities, and safe eating programming
