School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Eugene, Oregon
Step into a rewarding contract role serving students across two high schools and one elementary school near Eugene, OR, where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC) will transform learning and social growth. Beginning September 8, 2026, and running through June 17, 2027, you’ll provide dedicated, onsite support 40 hours each week, split between the Westmoreland and Lane school campuses.
Your primary focus will be life skills programming for a caseload of approximately 33 students. While experience in feeding, swallowing (safe eating), and AAC is preferred, committed candidates with a passion for learning will receive hands-on training in these vital areas. At Westmoreland, you’ll serve students with special education needs; at Lane, your work will highlight communication and socialization skill-building. Collaboration is central—while you’ll largely work independently, virtual and monthly team check-ins ensure you’re connected, and you’ll benefit from in-person support from a diverse team of paraprofessionals, special educators, and assistants.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLP with CCC credentials and school-based experience
- Familiarity with AAC and feeding/swallowing protocols is a plus (training provided)
- Demonstrated ability to support students in life skills or special education settings
- Skill in fostering communication and socialization
- Flexibility to transition between two campuses during the week
- Commitment to in-person, onsite work (no hybrid or virtual options)
Duties Include:
- Delivering speech/language therapy to K-12 students
- Developing IEP goals and tracking progress
