School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Springfield, Massachusetts

Your expertise will support a dynamic high school caseload, collaborating with dedicated special education teams to foster progress in students’ communication and social skills.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Active SLP license in Massachusetts and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Experience with school-based settings, ideally at the high school level
- Skilled in evaluating and implementing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
- Background working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and/or other learning differences
- Previous supervisory experience or strong mentoring skills preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to high school students within a supportive, specialized educational environment
- Supervise and mentor an SLPA, providing guidance and oversight for quality service delivery
- Assess communication needs and develop individualized treatment plans that leverage AAC technologies and evidence-based strategies
- Collaborate proactively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support each student’s progress
- Maintain accurate, thorough documentation and comply with all state and local requirements
This school-year position (August 27, 2026 – June 22, 2027, 32.5 hours/week) provides an inspiring work environment where specialized skills truly matter.
